Moorambilla Festival 2010

September 22nd, 2010

I spent the weekend as part of the ‘choir in residence’ at the Moorambilla Festival in Coonamble.  ’Where’s Coonamble?’ I hear you ask… go over the Blue Mts and head west, and keep heading west.  The countryside is just stunning and after a couple of weeks of rain the flowers were in bloom, the rivers were running strong and the grass was green (not your normal Australian outback scenery).  Here’s a few images that will inspire some jewellery making over the next few weeks I am sure!

Join in the count!

August 12th, 2010

A little while ago I was invited to join this fun Flickr challenge…

It’s a photographic count.

You must take photos of numbers, starting at 1 and working up…
The rules:
*1 to 20 must be taken sequentially.
*21 and up may be taken in any order but must added to the set sequentially.
*Photos must be of the whole number – no cropping out part of the number (but the picture may be cropped).
*You can use house numbers no more frequently than every fifth shot (up to no. 20)

It’s really fun, but I am completely obsessed by numbers in and around my environment now, and there are soooooooo many!!!

Why not join in?  Just start taking photos and create a new set in your flickr account – easy!

Here’s my COUNT to date.  I’m only up to 65.

My favourites are number 1 and number 28.

Fun with polymer clay

August 7th, 2010

I’ve recently posted a number of articles on Handmade Spark all about polymer clay techniques and I’ve even been inspired into trying out some new things for myself.

Take a look at the articles

I have a blog…

July 31st, 2010

Yes, I do have a blog and I must say its more than a little bit daunting.  How on earth will I manage to write interesting, witty reportage once a week?  How shall I approach my audience, how will I even GET an audience! HELP! What have I started?

I hope to write about beautiful design and crafty crafts when I come across them in the normal course of my life.  So stay posted and you may find something lovely here one day soon.

In the meantime take a browse about my etsy store while I think about things to write about!
